Mom’s Whole Cranberry Sauce

Mom’s Whole Cranberry Sauce

Valarie Young

Ingredients:

1 cups sugar

2/3 cup Water

1/3 cup Orange Juice

4 rounded cups fresh or frozen cranberries

Directions:

  1. In a 4- or 6-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, dissolve sugar in the orange juice and water and bring to a boil.
  2. Stir in the cranberries and cook until they start to pop. Once they begin to pop, lower heat to a simmer and cook about 6-9 minutes. You want to leave some berries whole.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes. Transfer to a container to cool. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
